Hi again, 5 of us travelling to Orlando via NYC. Is there any issue getting a taxi in NYC for 5 with 5+ suitcases? Have car in Orlando so not worried about that. Thanks in advance.

Hi sesh, I have priced that at over 200 dollars while the taxi apparently will cost approx 70 dollars. Just hoping there will be availability.

What journey are you looking to make?

Is this Manhatton to JFK for example. If so get the subway to Jamaica and the Airtrain to the airport. No need for a Taxi at all then.

Hi 400ixl, this journey will be from JFk to Manhattan. There will be 5 of us with big luggage so didn't want to take public transport as its our first long haul flight and first time in America. The taxi would be just as economical with 5 but I am just worried that it might be harder to get a larger taxi to accommodate us. Many thanks.

You go to the official taxi rank at JFK as you come out and there is someone there who will assess your needs and get you the right sort of taxi. Price to Manhatton is fixed and includes the fees. You just add a tip as you wish.

Don't get a non official cab, make sure you go to the official line. Shouldn't be more than 10 minutes or so to be put in a cab.

I'd then use the subway to Jamaica and airtrain to get back as you will be more familiar by then.
