No full size SUV - got Luxury. Alamo.

Was back at the airport yesterday evening to collect a full size SUV from Alamo. With my previous rental on this teip(Intermediate car) as with previous ones, I just went down the row but here the agent said he had to give me the keys. I was a bit grumpy about it- esp when agent started waffling to another customer for ages- but then was handed the keys to an Infiniti qx80. Walnut trim, inbuilt Sat nav, rear air con.
They had tried to sell it to me as an upgrade at the desk but being a good Dibber, I said no.

Clearly they had no full-size left.
The lady next to me was in the same boat- she had ordered a minivan bit was getting an SUV. (Hello if you were a fellow Dibber!)

I like the QX80, we have had it in place of a full size the last two trips, Nissan Armada last time, only downside was we did quite a few miles last year and with a 5.6 V8 it felt like I was always in the garage filling it up!

I think large/full size SUV's are now only available by collecting a key from the kiosk in the garage, even with skip the counter. I'll be ready with some $ cash to try and blag something new(ish) and, if possible, longer wheelbase (Expedition/Suburban)

correct - full size suv's and premium or is it lux cars are the same.

they give you the keys, but if you are not happen just ask for the keys to the car you like the look of. (ie - ask the person in the little hut in the garage.)

Luxury line has been keys from the office for a couple of years now. Pain in the wotsit - I always ask them to bring several sets - which they don't seem to like doing.
