Help needed with jet 2 and passport validity

Just wondering if anyone could maybe give a little insight to where we stand on this, my son is flying to Portugal on 1st July for 5 nights but his passport which I only looked at today runs out on 24th September, I've rang jet 2 but it's an automated service for passport issues and gives a website where to check which I have done and for Portugal it states no extra time is needed on passport beyond the return date bit we all know what airports can be like, but just wondering if he does online check in now and it's all ok will this then be fine in the airport or could he still be turned away. I know I've got the option of fast passport service but could get to an appointment till Thursday then it's still a weeks service thanks all.

It isn’t up to Jet2, it’s up to the country that they are flying into.

Currently British passport holders only need their passports to be valid for the amount of time they plan to stay in a European country.

If we leave the EU with a no deal then we will need 6 months, but currently we aren’t scheduled to leave until October 31st.

Thanks that what I thought but just worried he would get someone in the airport that morning in a bad mood or something and refuse boarding

He will he fine, I would check him in and board him without batting an eyelid... The only places Jet2 fly to that need a certain length of validity left is Turkey.
