Thomas Cook hand luggage

Hi, we are planning on taking 2 fold away carry on cases in our large suitcases for on the way home. Has anybody recent experience as to how strict Thomas Cook are with weighing carry on?

Flying out from Gatwick the person we had was quite strict and made us weigh our hand luggage - but that could have been because our main suitcases were heavy! Flying back from Orlando they never weighed them.

Just don’t put in more than the required weight and you will be fine.

I've always had mine weighed. Best sticking to the limit.

I had a heated discussion with the moron at Gatwick. Insisted on weighing hand luggage the night before at twilight check-in, he got quite moody when I said we had food and drink in the hand luggage for the hotel night at Gatwick. No weight check on return but probably just got lucky.

Never had hand luggage weighed by any other airline but only ever flown proper airlines such as BA and Virgin before.

Bear in mind TC are not over generous with their carry on bag maximum weight.

Does that mean TC aren’t a ‘proper’ airline? 😉
