How is everyone finding HHN this year? Crowd levels, weather, houses etc?
Best bits?

Just been tonight & was fairly low crowds, no waits longer than 55 minutes. We had already bought express so had all done by 8.30, with a break for food in there too. Didn't do any shows, will do those Sunday night & maybe a couple of houses. Staying at Hard Rock for tonight - still so tiring!

How long were the wait times with the express passes? We are going on Wednesday I'm hoping it won't be too busy

Its been mentioned that the VIP tour takes 4.30 hours and that they 'lock you' in a hospitality area during the tour for about an hour. So with the park only being open 7-12 that only leaves 30 mins to make use of the fast pass they provide with it which seems to make it useless. Can you go on rides rather than use he hospitality time or are you captive for the 4.30 hours only leaving 30 mins for rides or I have I got the wrong idea?

The longest we have had to wait with Express Passes is 10 minutes, this was for AHS which had a posted time of 75 minutes at 9 pm yesterday.
It was less than 5 minutes to walk from the entry the door of building... then they are sneaky and have a second queue indoors

Hi guys, doing the RIP tour on 4th Nov with family. After reading some of the comments on here, I’m a little worried. None of us want to waste an hour of our lives watching bill and teds awful adventure. Saw it a few years back and vowed never again. I also don’t not want to be “held” in a room for an hour and made to have a drink. So how flexible is this tour? Tobe honest all we want is to see the houses and scare zones... anyone done one? What happens?

When we did the tour it was very inflexible. You are escorted around by a guide who’s job it is the get you through all the houses and Bill and Ted. If you miss Bill and Ted, for example, you would need to be back at the exit to pick up the rest of the tour and houses. I, personally, am very reluctant to do the tour again due to the sheer amount of wasted time we had. This was in 2015, so they may have listened to feedback and changed - but without contacting them you may not find out until on the night.

We have recently returned and did the tour, which began at 19.30 and didn't finish until 00.00.
We were quite annoyed at Universal, because the tour guide takes you through 1 house, then 1 attraction and then Bill and Ted and then back to the bar for a drink (by now it's nearly 21.30) and we had 8 rooms left to do and 1 more attraction that nobody in the group wanted to do. 8 rooms in a row was far too tiring, too much to do in 1 evening, going round the back of the sets so you miss a lot of street entertainment, scare zones etc and when you finish the tour at midnight you have the choice to ride all the attractions once with your built in fast pass, of which point you don't want to because you have walked 3-4 miles and half the rides are shut. We went mental at Universal because we were told after the tour we could ride our rides by our guide and Harry Potter and Transformers were closed. When questioned... ''yeah sorry they close at midnight for maintenance'' which is all well and good for us! Don't bother with RIP tour, too expensive, rushed and by end of night all we wanted to do was go back to our hotel, so I think some of you are right, Universal didn't listen. |
