We are also unable to go at Halloween, I have 3 children which I will not take out of school and I work at a school.
If I could afford 2 holidays then great I would spend a week in October 1/2 term but unfortunately I can’t so we holiday in summer holidays when we can go for longer than just 1 week.
I think it’s great that Disney host a party at the end of August, it gives people more choice particularly those that have children at school.

They must have gone on for weeks. We went on my birthday at the end of February unless it was an early Easter. Still have the beads etc. in its black draw string bag!

Same here! We went to MNSSHP in October when my kids were home schooled. It was the most fun I've ever had at Disney but now they are in school and I also work at a school so we can't go then. The parties starting in August are fantastic news for us as it means we get to do it again. If the parties were several times a week then it would annoy me but there are only 3 dates in August so it really shouldn't affect anyone too much...

Well, apart from the OP.

We went during school holidays last year and was there when the parties were still going on.

Also, dates have nothing to do with UK customers and school holidays. Just a money grab by Disney sadly. Pretty ridiculous imo and a creep. Keep adding stuff, numbers not effected because despite inconvenience everybody wants to go. But do it slowly so people get used to it and even justify it. I’d bet good money that Christmas parties will continue until end of Feb soon, more parties will get added, other parks will start hosting lots of special events etc, etc...

You’ve got to admire them really...

They did - it was Feb to June - but only a couple of days a week.

It’s just not Halloween-ey in August and my 9 year old agrees! So rather than adding more expense just to go to MK that night, we’ve decided we’ll go to AK instead!
