It’s utterly hideous! I avoided it on our first holiday (said I had a headache) so on our second trip I manned up and did it...and screamed like a baby the whole time! The drops are huge, fast and never ending! I was very chuffed i’ve done it but never again!

Thanks lots of mixed answers. I don't mind short drops dont like heights but I believe you can't see how high you are up.
Still can't decide tried looking at videos but you can't see much.

Made me cry in 2008 first time we went. Hated it and both kids and DH laughed at me.

Despite visiting several times I’ve always avoided it.
Last year DH persuaded me it was mind over matter and I’d be fine, he’d look after me.

So I braved it again... and cried again. Hate hate hate it!

Always feel like my life’s flashing in front of me... no other ride makes me feel like this.

The one ride I will most certainly be avoiding.

The drop is not that bad. Certainly not as bad as it used to be - over the years they have had to adjust the height it dropped. I am not great with heights but feel fine in the ToT. Great ride - you will love it.

The fear of what you imagine it could be is much worse than the actual experience, which is just great fun and definitely one of the best rides ever.

It's much tamer than in was in the 90s! One of my favourite all time rides. Trying to persuade my 6yo to go on it but he's having none of it!

I have avoided this in various Disney parks over the years but my dd then 6 did it last year so I have to do it next year.
I hate drop rides with a passion after Detonator at Thorpe Park but dh says it doesn’t feel as bad as that as it’s indoors?
He’s probably lying but I need to just do it and get it over with ..
*gulp*
Give me a coaster any day!

I don't do drop rides , which is anomalous as I have already said TOT is the best ride ever . There is a huge difference IMHO to just dangling with a belt around you in the fresh air 100 feet up , and being in a nice big box where nothing can go wrong
