Having now done Pandora I thought the Navi River was totally lame and Flights of Passage was really boring...but I really don't like simulator rides so having done my bit and visited I won't be going back to Pandora anytime soon - I will continue to go to AK though as I love the Safari, Everest, Dinosaur and all the animals.

I can't see me going to Toy Story until after Star Wars has opened (at least only if I'm on my own as I have an Annual Pass but OH & mom don't & I'm not wasting a full single day ticket on Studios right now) but I'm sure I will like it cos I like Toy Story (while I could care less about Avatar - never even seen it from start to finish).

So curmudgeonly me says thumbs up to Toy Story (which at least seems Disney-ish) whereas Pandora has no Disney-meaning for me.

The only thing in Toy Story land that interests me is the food kiosk, seeing as the food in HS is so poor. Those grilled sandwiches look like the best things in the park!

I think it looks like a great age appropriate addition to the park. Slinky dog was never going to be a more thrilling coaster, it it looks like good fun.

Whilst Slinky Dog and TSL are aimed at children, Toy Story first came out in 1995. So the children who grew up watching that are now at least 23years old.

Cant help but think a lot of people visiting this section of the park will be revisiting their childhood. When I first saw design of Slinky Dog I was hoping for an Alton Towers Rite type ride in terms of speed. That would have been amazing.

Both my kids grew up loving the films, and even though one is a grown man now, when I told him they were opening a new land he was talking about joining us on our next trip, but looking at the vlogs coming out he's glad he isn't. The only good thing to say about the land is that it has nearly doubled the amount of rides in the park overnight, it's still not worth visiting until Starwars land opens. Why on earth did they not do a proper Pizza Planet? That would have become the place to eat for kids and adults.
I believe that the budget was cut significantly from the original plans. The Slinky Dog Ride originally showed a long inside section but that was cut. Also, there was meant to be an Al's Toy Barn.

Dumbo came out in 1942. The children who grew up watching it are now in their late 70s/80s. However the Dumbo ride is very popular with young children despite the film being over 70 years old. That and other classic Disney films are timeless, as are the Toy Story ones. Hence it makes sense that a kids film, ie Toy Story, has a kids ride.

I done all 3 rides in toy story land yesterday morning, we were allowed in at 0600 and were finished by 0700! We are a family of 3, dd aged 4 and she loved all the rides. The only thing we felt was missing was a proper toy story toy shop. There are 2 carts selling merchandise but i feel they could have done better there. I queued for 1 hour to get an alien popcorn souvenir bucket lol also bought dd a toy story zipper which was $40 plus tax and the alien grabber light up cup which was roughly $15. After tou story land we done star tours, muppets and watched the beauty and the beast. We had to get out of H.S, it was totally chaotic!

Even with the new TS land HS still isn't worth the admission price imo, just not enough to do.

Am I reading this right, it took an hour of queuing to buy some popcorn? What was the queue like at Woody's Lunchbox?
Was the whole of HWS busy?
How busy WDW is, is crazy.
