There are paper straws in AK. Still plastic everywhere else as far as I have noticed. I am sure you will have no problem bringing in a metal straw.

I can’t see it being a problem., you can get silicone ones if you are worried but the amount of plastic in the parks is phenomenal. Ak is the only exception because of the animals . Interesting enough one of the rangers last year said they wanted to roll out the environment programme to all the parks but the cost to do so was a staggering amount so each new restaurant built try’s to be more eco.

I tend to disagree a metal straw filed down on a pavement would make a good stabbing instrument and I sure that fact will not bypass security if they notice what it’s made of.

If I remember I’ll let you know, we’ve got some metal ones packed.

I could probably fashion something from a comb, but might get rumbled due to a lack of hair.

Why would you want to take a steel straw into the parks would be my question?

Some people use them to avoid using plastic straws as a contribution towards reducing plastic waste.

Some people use them as an alternative when establishments move over to paper straws. There are children and adults with additional needs who need to use a straw to drink, but who would collapse a paper straw.

Hope this makes sense
