Humble pie regarding Universal
Well, after much teeth gnashing on my part about only doing Universal this trip, I have spent my first day there and I actually enjoyed it so much more than I thought I would. We have only been to Diagonal Alley and Hogsmead today, but the theming and the rides were sensational. I was really not that bothered as Disney will always be my first love, but I was so surprised. DS was so happy to be there and his joy was wonderful to see. Hopefully the rest of the parks will be the same.

Excited about Disney
|
To be quite honest I don't think I could be bothered with Disney any more. The crowd levels are horrific. Although it hasn't stopped us doing the rides we wanted to do. But then again it might be just the heat at the minute. Have never felt it this warm here at this time of the year..

WWOHP has done wonders for Universal. It is incredible.
Can you see anything construction wise by Hogsmeade where DC used to be? |

Universal and IOA are far better themeparks compared to Disney.
I don't even think its up for discussion, the only thing Disney has is the name now. IOA- best themepark in the world according to recent polls |

Nonsense. Disney is the busiest theme park in the world for a reason - it's the best!
If you like sitting inside watching a screen then Universal is great We did all Universal attractions including VB last August in 3 days. There was no evening entertainment, no shows or parades. We like Universal, but its still way below Disney |

Can everyone stop with the childish "Disney/Universal is rubbish" comments?
We're all adults on here and should be able to make our preferences clear without resorting to unnecessarily slating the other place! lol. It's pretty obvious that neither of them are close to "rubbish", and people just have different opinions on what they like better. |

I agree, it's rife lately . maybe posting should have a little pop up warning stating that your post will be picked at with a fine tooth comb , it will then be judged and then go in front of a kangaroo court , proceed at your own peril

Universal blew Disney out of the water for me last year, still doing Disney again next year only because my parents are coming with us and its their first ever trip.
Would seriously consider Universal only in other trips though! |
