Galaxy's Edge... thoughts?

Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on Galaxy's Edge, will you be going back next year to see everything or wait for it to die down first?

Our honeymoon falls right over what I imagine 'end of fall' to be (18th November) did consider cancelling and going early 2020, but I figured it's going to be manic for quite a while so have decided to grin and bear it! Also I've never seen Star Wars which doesn't help...

Anyone else out there the same time?

Myself and most others regulars I know are avoiding like the plague for a while. No doubt will be an amazing addition. But iv been tied up in too many openings and this is going to be epic and horrendous both at the same time I feel.

Were going October half term next year and will be glad we’re missing it, the crowds will not be fun! We won’t be back for another few years after next October so hoping if/when we do make it back, it might not be as bad!

It's not for us either. After this year's trip we're taking at least a couple of years break until things settle down.

'late fall' so it is anyone's guess! From what I gather from rumours people are guessing it will be anytime between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

It will be chaos!

Look at the affect pandora had and there hasn’t been a film out for over 10 years.

You’ll have a mass of people that will want to experience first hand before seeing photos, blogs reviews. You’ll have people desperate to get likes for there Instragrame pages Facebook sites. Star Wars fans and people on the fence that will want to see what the fuss is about.

With the amount of films and hype that Star Wars have generated it will be something I don’t think anyone will have experienced crowd wise before. That’s including the hype of Harry Potter.

Personally I’m going to let the hype die down and have a break away from Disney. I like Star Wars but not enough to have a holiday spoiled due to long waits, queues for parking and making the parks feel like a choir as opposed to enjoying the atmosphere.

It will be interesting to see how Disney handle this, one thing is for certain it will be amazing and a real spectacule.

I read today that the new Millennium Falcon ride will have a maximum of 840 riders per hour which is roughly half of the capacity of FOP. I dread to think how bad the queues will be. We go in May I'm pleased we will miss the opening even though I'm a massive fan.

Disney are betting on SW in a major way, personally I will be avoiding it like the plague & foresee HS being closed for capacity on a daily basis. You are probably going to need a few of the other planned new attractions to open, Guardians etc, to pull guests away, before any significant die down. But of course it could all be up in the air after a few poor reviews.

We're definitely avoiding. Going next April/May but then giving it a miss until 2021. Just hoping the new Mickey ride is open at HS. More excited about that than Star Wars!
