We used the Numner One lounge in the south terminal last month and thought it was worth every penny. It’s worth looking for a deal though, check out the Dragon Pass, it’s available through the Telegraph website and halved the price.

Although you can get the pass months in advance (it’s valid for a year) it’s worth booking a slot in the lounge closer to the time as they can get full. The pass is also valid for about 4 lounges, so you’ve got options.

If you have Avios you may be able to use those to pay for it. We did but that was back in 2014. We found it incredibly crowded and busy, there were only 2 seats available - but I think things may have changed now.

Hi Thank you for this really useful ,I've just had a look and seems almost to good to be true ! ,am I missing something ? ,so I pay £18 each for a voucher and that gets me access into the lounge ? Also how do I actually book a slot in the lounge beforehand ? ...sorry to bombard you with lots of questions!

Yup, it’s literally half what you’d pay if you just rocked up, you’re not missing a thing. I was a little apprehensive to be honest but when I handed over the print out all was good.

As for booking, just go on to their website and you should fine a number that you can call them on. We only used the lounge on the way back as our connecting flight back to Jersey was 7 hours after we landed back from MCO

We didn’t book but went there early enough that they said to come back in half an hour and they could fit us in.

Highly recommended, for both price and avoiding the crowds.
