Mobile Blood Sugar Testing Kit

Hi
I have A blood sugar testing kit that has a monitor, test Strips and Lance for finger pricking.
Can I carry this in hand luggage on Virgin Atlantic

Yes because it's necessary medication. Might be a good idea to carry your prescription with you for back up.

Yes, been carrying diabetes paraphernalia for 40+ years on domestic, European, US & Asian flights; syringes, needles, lancets, insulin pens, bottles, cartridges etc; 15+ flights a year.
Never had a letter from doctor or nurse; carry a copy of my script plus all in the boxes they come in.
Never made anyone aware of them, never mentioned them to anyone, never remove them from my bag at security, never have them in a plastic liquids bag.
Never had anyone question them nor made me aware that they're aware of them ever.

If you are going via Manchester you will have to put them in a separate clear plastic bag .dh was made to take all his injectables out also his inhalers. Never been asked for copy if prescription. In fact he doesn't have one for 2 of his as they come direct

Yes you can - i am a type one diabetic (24 years) and as long as you have a doctors note you'll be fine - even a prescription with your name address and meds on will do.
