Miami Immigration
Hi guys
We arrive at MIA 3pm on Monday, any recent experiences with immigration? Wait times etc? I assume we will get the obligatory grumpy officer like we always seem to get in Orlando Not been through MIA for a long time so just wondered Thanks |

We arrived on the 3rd Aug and it took 2 hours for immigration and another hour for Avis to find us a car! They were queuing out of the door for immigration, what is the point in having hundreds of machines to scan passports but then only have 2 officers processing!

That's good!
It was literally the longest queue ever and hardly any staff on, seem to take forever, then they didn't have the car we booked, so we had to wait ages.. but we did get a free tank of fuel & we were changing it the next day when we arrived in Orlando! I guess it was Thanksgiving, so kind of expected less staff.

We arrived in Miami yesterday. Really impressed with immigration as they have about 36 automated screening terminals which everyone including kids were able to use. We didn’t get an X on our ticket and we’re through in about 15 to 20 mins.
But as a previous poster said, quite a hike to the hire car area! |

We landed at 3pm on Thursday, took about 90 mins to get from the plane to the car hire garage. Biggest wait was for the bags! Immigration was a doddle.

Long queue at immigration when we arrived 4th, but quick to get through with self scans.
Would have been very quick if the bag carousel didn’t break😫 Car hire with Dollar again very quick no pushed up sell. 1st car was a expedition few problems so swapped at Orlando for a brand new Thaoe no issue. All good here and Lufthansa was great if anyone is flying with them. |
