The only time we stayed onsite was at POR. It was beautiful and we loved it... when I was booking our next trip I was leaning toward riverside again but the free dining was only available at french quarter! This is the offer I wanted so it swayed out decision and I’ve heard all good things about it! The only thing that puts me off is the pool as we are just a couple so we may steer clear of splash zone etc! We aren’t really planning on using the pool as we will be in Vila’s either side of our stay so our onsite stay will be purely to do the parks!

Free dining is available at POR, just not in standard rooms, so if you want it at POR you need to book a preferred or 'view' room. Might be worth looking in to availability if it's where you'd prefer to stay. You can use all the pools at POR if staying at POFQ too

It’s not available for all dates. We have booked POFQ specifically because POR has no rooms of any category for our July 2020 dates. I look every week in case they appear. They haven’t yet.

That can be the case for any resort though, and plenty of people have booked POR. My point to the pp I quoted is that free dining is available at POR as her post read like she thought the resort was excluded this time. She might not have been aware that it's just the standard categories that aren't

I've stayed at both. Love French Quarter and don't like Riverside. My reasons are same as those above

Yes I did know, we had to book a garden view at FQ to get it too, although I’m not sure if this is standard. I have seen POR have the offer but it wasn’t available for our dates

😊 Standard rooms at POFQ are included in free dining, but sounds like they weren't available for your dates if you had to book a garden view. It's still a lovely resort, and the first one we stayed at, plus you get to use all the facilities at POR too 😊
