Highlander Day9 Vegas Highlights

Friday 24th October
I was up around 6am so got dressed and headed across to the Hooters Casino spent a couple of hours there and was only $30 down, unlike the woman who had to be restrained by security as she wanted her cash back, when I got back to the room around 9, Jacquie gave me a disapproving look as I still had my jack and coke with me , Danny wanted to go to Circus Circus for the adventure dome so we got the Monorail up to the Hilton and then a 10 min walk over to Circus Circus using our power passes we got the all day bracelets, now I have bto say its pretty naff here a few of the rides where down and there where many amusement arcade games that cost many $$'s to play but Danny seemed happy enough he got Jacquie to go on a pretty wild ride although she nearly threw up after it (she didn't realize it was so wild), we also rode the coaster, and a ride similar to Dr Dooms in Universal and we did the dodgems a few times, we also spent a few $$ on the arcade games

Danny wasn't interested in seeing any of the shows so around 1 we headed out of Circus and wandered down the strip we spied a Ross store so we spent an hour there buying some gifts and clothes got quite a few bargains here, by now it was around 3pm so we headed to the convention center monorail station and got the monorail to Bally's I suggested getting a late lunch at Ellis Island steakhouse just behind Ballys on Koval Lane, they do a special at Ellis Island called the steak special for $6.99 you get a steak, green beans, fries, a beer or root beer, and a salad or a soup to start, we got a table right away I ordered the steak special with salad and an amber ale, both Danny and Jacquie ordered a Sirloin steak sandwich with fries and onion rings a 9oz steak on ciabatta bread plus two cokes, I used my ACG BOGOF coupon here as well, the service wasn't the best but the food was pretty good the steak was excellent, and the amber ale was delicious I had a second to be sure it was just as good and it was, the total bill incl tip was $30 now thats a bargain and with the way my luck at the slots is running we need those bargains

I joined the players club before leaving Ellis Island as you get a 5000pt bonus for signing up Jacquie couldn't as she had no ID on her, it took us about 20 min to walk back to the hotel, once back at the hotel Jacquie went to the pool, I purchased a 24 hour pass to the internet to check out my email etc and boy was I shocked to see how much the exchange rate had fell over 20 cents in 3 days just glad we did most of our shopping in NYC now. I then headed over to the Luxor to pick up our tix for Criss Angels new show, when I picked up our tix I couldn't believe my eyes the tix had a $40 per tix reduction on each from what I paid ticketmaster (still awaiting the outcome of my complaint), tonight we had a night flight over the strip and we where getting picked up at 7:30pm for it, this would be our first time in a helicopter, we where picked up on time and the Heliport was literally across the street from us, we all got weighed in I was over but as Jacquie and Danny where well under I didn't pay extra, we got our safety briefing then our champagne, I paid for the DVD as you had to decide beforehand if you wanted it and they edit it and post it on, glad to say ours arrived a couple of weeks ago safe and sound , our flight was one of the last out and we where told no pics until we where on helicopter and way from airport,the flight was amazing so smooth, not bumpy or jerky at all in total we where in the air around 15 mins

once back on the ground it was straight back to the hotel, on the way back we got stopped at the lights this is where a few girls in another car took a shine to Danny and they flashed him there chests he only told us this the next day as we where sitting on the opposite side to him, but we could hear them shouting and whooping etc but never thought anymore about it, when I asked him why he never said anything at time he said because we'd have made him move seats.
Once dropped at hotel we left camera, phones etc in room as I'd heard they where pretty strict at the show, now this show was getting seriously slated in reviews and to be honest it wasn't great it was okay but there are a lot better shows, there is very little Cirque influence in it, but I will say it was better than I expected, after the show we had a look around the luxor, in the lobby there where a load of models as there was some big party going on, we walked back to our hotel and arrived back in the room a little after midnight

have been waiting patiently for the next instalment! Lol at u getting up at 6am to play the slots and have a Jack and Coke. Could only happen in Vegas! I sooo wanna go back!

Hi thought I'd post an update just received a refund from Ticketmaster for the difference in price at the Angel show and with stronger dollar got more cash back than I paid
