I would endorse this approach, the system is abused in many ways and this would be one way of solving some of the issues.

You have to do this anyway so they know how many guests to put down on the card (up to maximum of 6 persons). From reading the article I think the disabled person is acting as a surrogate member of the purchasers family so I presume they are all going for the GAC together

We've never had to give names etc to get a pass. They just state + x amount of people.

You have to give the name of the person the GAC is issued to and how many guests because there has been occasions where CM's have specifically asked us which person is ...

Yes, but we've never had to give names of anyone other than the person issued the GAC.

The only way for it to work, is to have to provide proof that you are a family, ie address, but that would mean that family who don't live together wouldn't be able to be included.

Well i read something the other day and the person with the GAC met up with others later in the holiday and they all used the GAC so they clearly didn't have to give names or be present when it was issued.

Or why not have a photo ID similar to what D Cove use? so enable you to use the GAC you have to show the photo ID?

There must be ways of showing that you are a party...holiday booking form or something?

Something needs to be changed though so it can't continue to be abused.

I've read something similar but can't remember where.

I think photo ID is the way to go. It wold stop people trying to sell their GACs on eBay which has happened before now

Bit confused by this article, I used a scooter last time I was in the parks, I never once managed to bypass a line. One time I was taken forward but had to wait an age before I could actually get on the ride itself, my kids were often quicker in single lines or fast passing. All this does it make it harder for people who have genuine reasons to use scooters look bad. Some of the comments I heard were awful
