Double wisdom tooth extraction today :( but looking forward to the weight loss!

i'm needing a wisdom out and a crown replaced and i need to go into hospital for mine because of my epilepsy

i have my first appt for 21st june and i'm dreading it

Are you getting sedated? It honestly wasn't that bad. I had two removed bottom and top on same side and the inside-gum part of a broken tooth on the other side so I have stitches all over! It's honestly ok, please try not to worry x

yes i will be out for the count, the wisdom is btm left and is broken at one side, it's nerve has already been taken out

and the crown is the next tooth fwd of this

my dentist won't do the work because my seizures are not under control and the trauma is risky with the sedation so it needs to be done in a hospital setting

i'm sure it will all be ok though

Make sure you keep taking the strong co-codamol. I stupidly told them I'd be ok with my normal co-codamol/paracetamol when I had 3 wisdom teeth out. Ended up back up the hospital on a bank hol weekend as needed the stronger stuff!

Hugs, hope the weight loss makes up for it. I finally went to the dentist last week & I'm having the first of 2 fillings on Friday which I'm dreading as I don't tend to react well to them. Might ask my mam to come with me & hold my hand!

I had all 4 out at the same time and was wide awake.had toothache for years so glad i eventually got it done.i lost a stone in 2 weeks after i had them out

Hiya, well, thought I would escape the dreaded dry socket but its here with a vengeance got emergency dental appt this morning so he packed it with some gauze basically dipped in iodine (tastes utterly rank! ) and prescribed me some mouthwash. I have changed to cocodamol/ibuprofen from just paracetamol/ibuprofen and it seems to be taking the edge off. The pain is intense and just a constant throb. If I'd known it was gonna be this bad I don't think I would have bothered getting them out
