Clearwater day trip advice
Thinking of doing a coach day trip to Clearwater next year. I've seen ones that also include lunch and the sea screamer or pirate ship, but not sure about these. Have read good things about little toot, so thinking of just doing the basic coach trip to get us there and back and then our own thing while we're there. Can anyone recommend things to do to fill the day, places to eat etc. We will have some beach time, but want to break it up a bit. I assume you can rent chairs and parasols on the beach too - any idea of prices? Thanks

Little Toot is great. We did that and the Dolphins followed in our wake. Brilliant fun.
Make sure you go into the pier at sunset. Fantastic views.

We did the coach trip a few years ago and would definitely recommend it
We were picked up at a hotel near our villa and transported to Clearwater, lovely driver who gave a great commentary. When we arrived, he showed us the diner where we could have lunch which was included in the price and then dropped us off. We had a wander round the shops first, then went for lunch. We then had a stroll along the front and had time for ice cream before our trip on the Seascreamer which was fantastic. Afterwards, we spent some time on the beach and walked out on the pier. The time flew so we were never scratching around looking for things to do. It really was a wonderful day. The only downside was the traffic back up to Orlando, seemed to take ages.

We booked before we went - can't remember which company to be honest, it was either Attraction Tickets Direct or Orlando Attractions Tickets - I think they both offer the same trip.
It really was a great day and well worth the money

we did a coach trip and it worked out brilliantly.
First we booked with greys to include transportation and the aquarium. when it came to dropping off we explained we'd make our own way to the aquarium and instead we were dropped off at the pier. We got there 20 mins because the first little toot boat trip so we paid up and went on that. We got back and walked to the aquarium (it's not far). We spent a few hours at the aquarium, grabbing lunch there (we didn't go to the second section to see the film sets, we weren't interested). We walked back to the beach and had a walk along theses edge to cool off and along the pier. We then grabbed some snacks and drinks and sat to watch the sunset on the beach while waiting for the bus. For us it was perfect and the best of both worlds.
