You can never guarantee a mask is right and will fit you until you get it on

The journey to perfection can be painful (Sore Ears/Face) and costly

Painful ?
What on earth are you doing with them ? A bit uncomfortable maybe but painful sounds odd !
My mask lady offers masks with open elastic so you can adjust it to fit yourself and tie it off ... as for glasses the trick is to have the mask with the lowest part of the frame overlapping the top of the mask, it forms a semi seal and stops misting up

Short elasticated straps, or wrong face shape, retail worker wearing 7 hours = sore red area to back of ear. Excess sweat has similar effect.

They get sore if you have little ears as well and for my friend who is deaf they chafe around the back of her hearing aids ... you haven't lost the plot
