Looking at Jet2 for the date the OP wants (flying on the 25th May, back on the 1st June), the total flight price is around £2200.

The thing is, if they went just 6 days earlier - still flying at the weekend - the total price is a third of that. Just £680 for 4 people. However that means holidaying during term time which the OP doesn’t want to (or can’t) do.

The price is very dependent on date and just a few days either side can make a big difference. Which is why when people compare flight prices it has to be the exact same dates. Otherwise it’s not a like-for-like comparison.

We have a villa in cyprus for 3 weeks in August. My daughter wants to join us for a week and yesterday she got BA flights from Heathrow to Larnaca for £396 for 4-12 August. Cant complain at that and the flight times are excellent which cant be said for Easyjet etc. I paid for our flights back in October but paid more than she did yesterday.

I know this one so well as my husband is from North Cyprus so we are always searching for flights to cyprus and get so cheesed off as the flights to cyprus cost that much. We have got reward flights to Orlando this year and its costing £817 for 4 of us, We are normally looking at a minimum of about £1500 for Cyprus ( you never get cheap flights to Cyprus) - and the flights are rubbish, cramped, long and no entertainment... with the exception of Thompson - best flights we've ever done to Larnaca and we check them often now as they are sometimes the cheapest too
