Been asked to consider rehoming a puppy...
The day after losing our most loved Betty (11 1/2 year old St Bernard), the St Bernard Trust contacted me, they'd had a call from someone with a 10 month old needing a new home due to a sudden bereavement so had instantly thought of us as we'd just lost our girl.
We had put feelers out already for another Saint, we'd hoped to get one while we still had Betty so that Cooper our 7 year old would have a young playmate and when the inevitable did happen that he wouldn't be lonely, really wasn't expecting either Boo to deteriorate quite as quickly as she did in the end or for them to have such a young pup quite so quickly - it all feels like a sign. It's obviously all very raw, but our poor boy is very mopey and it breaks my heart to see him moping around so we're off to see her tomorrow to see how they get on! Wish me luck, if we do decide to take her on I'll be after help with names next (not Nana... )

Sounds like the puppy is meant to be with you. I really hope it all works out for you all.

Aww hope all goes well, share pics and maybe the pups name will suit, we rescued a 4 month old lurcher last spring, his name was Rodger and I was thinking of changing it but he was used to that name I suppose and now I think it really suits him 😁
