Thank you everyone-I think I need someone to tell me where I’m going 😀! Loads of suggestions of places we’ve never been to. DD doing Spanish for GCSEs next year and I think she’d quite like somewhere Spanish.
Hi Jo- very jealous of u going to Miami-we all loved it. Would recommend The Big Pink diner near South Beach if you’re that way. We hired Citibikes and cycled the length of south beach and saw the most amazing cars along Ocean Drive. We also went to Wynwood and saw the walls which have featured in quite a few music videos that your two may recognise. x

That’s fab Col, thank you. Will look into Citibikes, I’m assuming they’re like Boris bikes!

That’s spooky-where are you flying from? We’re going from Gatwick 0640 flight so not entirely sure if my countdown is correct! x

Yes, just need a credit card and pay to book out each individual bike and make sure it registers you’ve returned it. First time we went, we barely moved from the South Beach area. Mega expensive cars and people on skateboards nipping in and out of the cars was amazing to watch. If you’re there on the last Friday of the month, Critical Mass is on and thousands of bikes take the roads to increase awareness of cycle safety. Loved watching the Miami police at work 😀

I've been to Amsterdam, Barcelona and Berlin in November. It's too my birthday that month so we try and go away for a few days.
Amsterdam was quite chilly but we hired bikes and had a blast. It's such a cool city, the people are so friendly.
Barcelona was sunny and warm the first day and slightly cooler the second but it honestly didn't matter. We did a Big Bus Tour which was very interesting and spent a lot of time around Las Ramblas.
Last November I went to Berlin with my mum and sister. We did originally book for the Christmas markets but there is so much more to the city to see and do. It's up there as one of my favourite European cities. We did a free walking tour which was fascinating then the next day went to Sachenhausen Concentration Camp, again very informative and I think even kids would find it interesting. I've done trip reports on both Barcelona and Berlin which you might find useful.

How about Athens? Should still be warm in November and there is loads to see and do. One of our favourite city breaks.

Travelman went recently which you can see on Channel 4 catch up too. Food is good and not overly expensive. We did a food tour which was really great and the history was amazing. We also took a trip to Cape Sounion to watch the sunset. A brilliant city we loved it there.
