Rumour Blizard Beach to close earlier (Sept) for winter Refurb

We only ever have one water park open when we go and have early park closures on many nights and reduced park hours yet we still pay the same ticket price as everyone else . Disappointing yes but doubt you will get anywhere with this one at all otherwise our tickets would be cheaper.

This happened to us on our first trip in 2015. The refurb for BB was brought forward which meant it closed on our first full day. It is really annoying but Disney were not interested.

Yep we went that year as well , there was a problem with the slides . if they want refurbishing/updating when does everyone actually expect them to do it when it’s a 365 days a year operation? Disney aren’t going to shut down something just to upset people!

They changed the date so many times in 2015, didn’t they?! It was a bit of a standing joke in our house as it happened so many times.

It's been showing on MDE for a while now ever since they released park hours for Nov I've seen it?
If you go to MDE my plans, park hours and info go to your dates and it says about hours and what's closed ☺

So disappointed with this news, we booked to go in September to avoid the opening of SW land, we stay off site as with two grown up children it’s our only (and cheapest) option.
We are now faced with only one water park, all parks will be busy because of SW, no option to go for rope drop, and can only book fast passes 30 days in advance.
Park tickets are so expensive ( we don’t do parks everyday as so much more to do in Florida)
I just feel so disappointed it’s just one thing after another.
But we are still going and will still love everything Florida has to offer and I know we are lucky to go at all etc !

I agree, unfortunately it is just one of those things. Rides need refurbishing and repairs and September is counted as more out of season. They have probably brought it forward because it needs more refurb than originally planned.

For anyone worried about Typhoon Lagoon being really busy because of BB closing, we really didn't find it bad at all.
