Funnily enough I was watching some chat show a few months back and they were discussing a few cinemas that still did this and mentioned one in the Liverpool area...got a feeling one of the guests used to sell ice creams there

Is it the Woolton Picture House? My dad used to take us there as kids. Went past it today funnily enough

Yes it is. Also have the new Cineworld in Speke near us too, but love the charm of the picture house. Nice meal in Crust before hand too!

I agree with all the positive comments so far.

I had decided beforehand that I would enjoy it for what it was, and not make comparisons with the original.

Visually it’s absolutely breathtaking, and the soundtrack a musical masterpiece. Thoroughly enjoyed it !

I am taking my daughter to the new Speke one.
Haven’t tried Crust - I’d have chosen the Elephant.
Saw that there is also a picture house at fact on wood street not sure what that is like

New Speke one is very nice. Went to watch Aladdin there a few weeks back. Nice meal in Wagamama before hand. Yeah Elephant or Liberty are nice too.

Would recommend Crust.

Been to Fact but a long time ago!

I would say that it’s the closest to the original than any of the others so far.

I think so many iconic songs and scenes they just couldn’t change.
