Hotel at gatwick

We have decided to go by train when we fly from gatwick but need some advice having never flown from this airport before
I believe the train arrives into the south terminal but we fly from the north terminal
Is it easy enough to make your way to the north terminal from south terminal
We are thinking of booking premier inn north so wont have any probs getting to the terminal on the day of the fight

Would you stay at this hotel or are there better choices

Have always stayed at the PI North and flown from both North and South. It's easy-peasy. The monorail is opposite the hotel and travels between the two terminals, taking about 90 seconds.

Gatwick North Terminal Shuttle Station, Horley, Gatwick, UK

I've done this and it's easy. Just follow the signs to the shuttle and hey presto.
The premier inn is fine but does get really busy at times but so easy for the flight the next morning.

I’m staying at the Bloc hotel in the south terminal but flying from the North. How long would it take to get from one terminal to the other?

A few minutes to walk from the hotel to the station, then a couple of minutes max to get to North terminal. The monorails run about every 5 minutes.
