at least they haven't put a locked fence around to stop you from wandering away from Disney and spending those $$$$ elsewhere, they can fleece you there and then so you don't have money to go elsewhere lol

If by "getting too greedy" you mean "making more profit" then yes, it is. That's the aim of most successful businesses.

The number of visitors keeps on increasing so it makes sense to increase prices until the visitor numbers level off. Otherwise, the parks are just going to get more and more crowded. Most people seem to be predicting a significant increase in the number of guests next year when Star Wars Land opens, and these price increases are unlikely to do much to reduce those crowds.

Yes, but if they increase the cost of parking by enough, then travelling by bus is going to start to look attractive. Either you'll have to pay $100 to park or get on an overcrowded bus (it's overcrowded because it's so unpopular ). It's either that or use their Minnie Van service.

Anyway, soon Disney will have that wonderful Skyliner transport system. There are already rumours saying they're going to expand it to other resorts and parks.

Its the length of time they take that gets me, can deal with over crowding.

We're here just now and there's been no mention of this increase. The first I knew about it was on a facebook post from someone this morning.

Today is our last park day as we head home on Thursday but can honestly say this will be the last time we go to Disney or Universal (there's so much more to Florida anyway ). Everything is way over priced from the parking , food and drinks.

Today we are going to Hollywood Studios and have a car full of loose change - mostly 1c and 5c so they'll be getting the extra $3 with that!

Parking increases are an opportunity for them to upsell their higher season ticket passes, hotels and DVC

I can’t imagine they would ever increase the rack rate of their hotel rooms by 66% in 3 years or everyone would stay offsite

Well their buses are a joke too... Waited 1hr and 40 mins for bus back from MK to AoA on the 6th Oct.

They increased prices for bottles of water etc and various snacks within the last 2 weeks too so expect more price increases elsewhere too.
