Personally I think this is high for a business class fare and I wouldn't pay this. Our target is £1200 and this is what we have paid the last fee trips. Current trip is Virgin UC on miles.

I know but I travel solo and never amass enough points for a flight etc.

I do need to research it a bit more to see how I can get better value for them.

Booking premium economy for cash then using the avios to upgrade to club world is usually cited as the best way to get value in your circumstances (solo traveller) so I’d suggest that’s a good starting point for your research

That must have been in one of the sales?
Was that a sat-sat Flight?
Direct lgw-mco?

Looking for the past couple of years for end November beginning December (low season) the best direct I have seen is £998 one way £1,350 back LGW-MCO

Dublin used to be much cheaper, but now there is only £100 difference, tge better price us booking Aer Lingus direct DUB-MCO aboutc£1,000 cheaper for 3 adults than BAs same flights

Not an advertised sale, no. It was direct LGW-MCO going out on a Monday and returning a Wednesday (also got same price Tuesday to a Thursday)
