American’s think I look very young

I don't think you should feel down about it unless someone disrespects you then you should speak up and let them know.

This happened to my daughter last year, we all thought it was so funny especially when they also brought her the tub of crayons 😂😂 she was 19 at the time

I got Id'd in Asda buying a bottle of wine the last before my 40th Birthday in June. I couldn't whip my driving licence out quick enough to say I was 40 the following day, I walked out of Asda feeling like I'd won the lottery not just bought some Pinot.

Looking young is a lovely, I always looked younger than my age, dh is upset because he is 7 months younger than me but looks older. I think I’m starting to look old now because if I tell anyone my age they aren’t shocked anymore!

I understand completely. I travel with my oldest son and I look young for my age and we often get mistaken as being a couple which is awkward to say the least, being offered king size beds instead of doubles at check in is the worse!

I understand too! I am yet to buy alcohol and age restricted products without being asked for ID and I’m 37! I got ID’d in Argos last December buying a computer game for DH’s Christmas and it was rated Pegi 16. The worst judgement for me is the looks/whispers I get when I’m out with the kids and they call me mum - especially now that they’re 12, 13 and 14 and both my boys are bigger than me!

My daughter is 19 and flew from Manchester airport last week. She was asked twice going through Security why was she flying on her own and asked what age she was Bless her, I used to look a lot younger but at nearly 46 I think my face has caught up with my age
