Mobile Buca di Beppo?

This is an Italian near the Celebration Publix, where food is served “family style”. Has anyone eaten here and what’s it like? Prices look very reasonable so we are tempted to try...

We haven't eaten at the one in Celebration but have had good meals at other locations. I keep thinking every time we pass it that we will have to eat there as we often stop at The Melia hotel if we can't get into our villa straight away and it is close by.

You can sign up to thier rewards programme and I am always getting email offers.

We’ve eaten at Vegas and New York ones, portions are pretty big! Nice though!

Tried it twice now, Anaheim and Vegas and not enjoyed it once.

On our repeat visit we said ‘let’s give it another try’ in the hope it was better than last time. Sorry to say it wasn’t 😕

Is it very “American-italian”? DH is Italian and so any sloppy style Italian isn't for us!

It was average at best. I’ve been to Italy and to me it doesn’t compare at all. The lasagne I had in Italy you needed a knife to cut through it with solid, moist layers. Lasagne at Bucco was swimming in the tomato sauce which we don’t care for.

It is very America-Italian. I am sure your husband wouldn't be impressed. My mother IS Italian American and it didn't impress her (or me either). It would work better for big groups who could order a variety of dishes. We ended up with something very boring because we were sharing with my daughter.

For mid-market Italian, I think Carrabba's handily leads the pack for ambiance, delicious food and overall value. It's my traditional first meal now. Lasagna and Sicilian Chicken Soup, OMG.
