Esta ... help i'm made a mistake!
Morning all, I renewed everyone's esta's this morning then just realised i've made a mistake on my son's after i've submitted it. I've put the wrong expiration date. Can't believe i've did this!
Does anyone know if I now have to wait for them to contact me as I can't go back and edit it (i've finalised the application and made the payment). Or should I start a new application just now for him? Or would that look dodgy? We leave Tuesday next week |

No one will contact you as they won’t know you have entered the wrong info, just do another application. I have made a mistake before and just redone the application.

It’s absolutely fine to do another application. You will get a warning message saying that you already have a valid ESTA, just carry on past that.

it won't let me reapply as 'an application with this passport information already exists"
I assume I have to wait for the authorisation to be declined? |

Is it pending or approved your esta, if its pending that could be why? Think they can take up to 72 hours to be approved now that might be reason why? Someone more knowledgeable than me will hopefully answer soon, leave if a few hours then check again 🤞

As above keep checking and wait until it’s approved, then reapply.

So the application has now come back as 'authorised' so do I just keep this or cancel it and do another one? Scared to arrive in Miami and the details don't match with the dates on the form compared to his passport?
I'm just surprised they've authorised it to be honest. Thought they would have rejected it ? |

Did you go on to complete the application after you had spotted the mistake? If you didn't then continue and complete it. Give it a couple of days and then complete a new form with the correct dates. They do allow you at least three chances to go back over your application to check that the information is correct. They won't contact you about any of this.
