HRH/Portifino Bay - Spa

Has anyone used the Spa treatments at HRH/Portifino Bay - I'm struggling for a birthday present for my wife (and no doubt grumpy teen daughter will want to tag along) and I thought about booking her something here.

Can't seem to find much online or anyway of booking

Any advice who be appreciated as I'm a Yorkshire bloke with a beard and the only Spa I know is the one I buy my Stella from in an emergency on a Saturday night

The Mandara Spa at Portofino Bay is lovely. I actually got a Groupon for this that I saw one day when browsing for something else. I had an Apricot and Orange Body Scrub followed by a Back, Neck and Shoulder Massage and got use of the facilities all day. It was really lovely. The price should have been $219 but I paid $99. One word of warning; all Spa's add a compulsory service charge of 20% on top of their prices which is payable on arrival and goes to the therapist doing the treatment. The 20% is based on the full price of any package you book, regardless of any discount of special pricing. If a Spa has put a "day Spa package" together that includes spa usage, a massage and a treatment, the 20% is based on the original full price of each component. It will usually tell you what this is at the bottom in small print. There are a lot of Spa's not in the Theme Park Hotels that offer much better value, I have used two in the Dr Philips area which have been great.

DW has used Mandara Spa many times and loves it just remember the 20% tip if u use Groupon which we have as well is on the full price of treatment not the Groupon price
