To Christmas or not to Christmas
As per title really - we are contemplating going to Orlando Christmas 2021 from about the 10th to Jan 3rd. Will it be crazy busy and weather unpredictable (we love the waterparks). Any advice or personal experience welcomed!

We (wife and two boys) went in Summer on our last trip for 3 weeks in August and we all loved it. Desperate to go back and just so happens December is the most convenient time for us!

We have been 3 times over Christmas, the latest being this year. The previous 2 times we have had mainly good weather with a few chilly evenings and have been to water parks on Boxing Day. This year was mixed. Some cool windy days with rain and some fine sunny days. Christmas day was lovely and we sat by the pool most of the morning and early afternoon.

It will be calm and very quiet until around Dec 21/22 and then the crowds pour in, if you want to do MK on Christmas Day or New Years get there early but it gets to capacity quick. The other parks are not as busy but still feel Christmasy. Weather can be cold one day and beautiful the next so pack for all eventualities. We now go around the start of December and then go home for Christmas as the crowds (And price) is high. We also love visiting around Halloween, the weather is hot and the halloween decorations and events are great.

We are going from the 5th to the 20th as I want to see the decorations abd the crowds seem manageable. I would not want to stay any longer though, in fact this is a bit longer than I had planned but was due to reward flight availability.

Christmas week to NYD is ridiculously busy. Like nothing else in crowd terms you’ll ever see in the parks. The first two weeks of December are two of the slowest. December weather is hugely variable. Within a single week we swam with dolphins (needed wet suits was a high of 70F with clear sunny skies) and we also wore full winter coats, hats and gloves had biting wind and frosts. One water park at Disney will be closed and the other will be empty.
