It would be nice to at least have the choice as to whether we want to go rather than just being told "no". Looking forward to being able to make my own decision 👍🏻

Did hear that Staysure will as well but I dont think thats true.
My wife is currently in Florida and I organised Battleface insurance for her at a cost of £430 for 26 days which obviously includes covid medical cover.

Can I ask how your wife is finding things in Florida? Where abouts is she?

We have a holiday home in Kissimmee which she is checking up on as we haven’t been to it since January and we don’t use a management company as we don’t rent it out.

As planned she has barely been out to avoid any unnecessary additional covid risks and said she was glad to have gotten away from Miami and then Orlando airports and the flight in between as she felt that social distancing was virtually non-existent. She went to the Mall of Millenia a couple of weeks ago where things were far less busy so safer and since then she’s been doing her food and Black Friday and other Christmas shopping online.

Hi Steve, how did she get there? Did she 14 day isolate in a non EU country afore flying over? Battleface at £430 for 26 days seems pricey. Thanks Steve

We had a 15 day holiday in Barbados first which served as the 14 days quarantine outside the US banned list countries. From there my wife was able to fly to Miami then Orlando while I got to fly home to work.

The Battleface insurance policy was the only suitable one I was aware of so it was a case of needs must.

Just seen this. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction. I was able to go to Dubai as a negative PCR was a requirement to travel. If more countries put this requirement in place then hopefully we won’t have border closures. It will be good to have the control back and be able to make these decisions for ourselves 🤞🏼

This came into force yesterday but they are having real issues as the testing centre had to close due to plumbing issues so moved to Christmas Eve - it had been on the BBC and SKy news here but as it is illegal for most of us to travel (Tier 4) and with the rest of the UK expected to go into Tier 4 for an extended while I am being in to feel I won’t be in Dubai as planned ...

It’s unlikely the US will be opening boarders to us in ‘Plague Island’

It's February you're meant to be going isn't it? Hopefully things will be better by then 🤞🏼
