Robin Hood Disney thought it cost 5p but it was 25p so caught bus home asked mum for bus fare and extra 20p then went back missed first 10 minutes of the film I was with brother 😆
On a different note 😝 I asked my brother if he wanted to see mc vicar it was a 18 I was under age but tall he said yes so we went and saw it at the old ABC Cinema in Norwich and no one said anything |

I can’t tell you which was the first film I saw as my Mum took us every week in the Summer holidays to one of the then 5 cinemas in Liverpool city centre from the time we could sit unaided, but usually the Tatler on Church Street.
The first film that I actually remember was The King and I with Yul Brynner - 1956, I would have been 5 - at one of the two cinemas at Walton Vale Liverpool. I saw uncountable numbers of nature films, Walt Disney, that came on with every film. |

Jungle Book
I was 3 1/2 and we were moving home so my parents told our Nanny to take us to the Granada Cinema and we watched it twice (and the B films but i don’t recall them) to use up time. It was my first recognisable taste of Disney and where my love started (although my Mother told me she had taken us to see Snow White I don’t remember that except drawing pictures of film after we saw it which I still have |
