Late Alamo drop off

We had this in May. We asked at the kiosk about adding extra time and were told that they give a grace period of about half an hour, but we asked to add an hour to make sure we didn't have to worry about getting back.

It was $15.46 (might be plus tax, can't remember) to add an hour and if you get back before the extra time is started then you aren't charged it.

Just had our flight changed again (2nd time this week) Original time was 1810hrs Mco to Man, got changed to 2000hrs now changed again to 2045hrs. Original drop off time for hire car was 1420hrs far too early for a 2045hrs flight so I rang Virgin got the time changed to 1745hrs free of charge. One worry taken care of, thanks Virgin.

There was insane traffic on the 417 last year going back to the airport (First time ever seeing traffic on that road! It was backed up from LBV! - We just about got to the airport on time! ). We were late dropping off the car - more than 29 minutes - and were not charged. Might have been a one off.

Disneye we are in the same position only want an extra 2 hours and would happily pay a reasonable price, it looks like some have extended at the garage so hopefully i can do the same. Will see what time we land and decide then as you never know how long it will take to get through the customs.

We are booked with VH and our return flight time was pushed back, I phoned them and they amended car hire times accordingly with no extra charge.

Think like me they are booked direct with alamo and although these can be amended the price is high and we can't find out what the charges will be for extending by 2 hours.
