Upgrading from half board plus to full board

When we booked our upcoming holiday we got the free half board plus included in the deal. We are wondering whether we can upgrade to full board and if so does anybody know how much the difference is. We were also considering changing to premium, not too sure what to do as this is our first visit and want to make sure we get everything right.

When we looked in to this it was £102 extra for two adults for two nights! We didnt choose to do this as we think a big breakfast and either lunch or dinner will be enough for us! Also we like to try Disney snacks so didn't want to be tied down to too Many sit down meals! Everyone is different though so it depends what is important to you an wether the extra cost will work in your favour

If you got free half board I am fairly sure you cannot upgrade it to a higher level of voucher but you can use them for part payment towards a higher priced restaurant

Personally having been a number of times I would not upgrade to full board as the sit down meals can really eat into the time in the park

Which hotel are you staying at as that determines what level of half board voucher you will receive

There is an option to upgrade when you make the booking- usually with Disney you will be able to call up and adjust your package !

You can upgrade free half board, we did in 2017 and it was £15 per person per day. Might be more now.

However, for us it was too much food and too much time. It is a buffet breakfast plus two three-course meals every day. (We were on Standard so it was two buffets.) Yes, you can go to buffets and only eat what you want, but it is still a big chunk of your day. Particularly when you consider that a TS meal can easily take almost two hours, as the French don’t rush their food.

If we have a buffet breakfast we are not hungry again until about 3pm and would struggle with a full meal then.

Have you got a copy of the T&Cs for your offer? Probably in an attachment with your booking confirmation? The T&Cs usually state that you can’t upgrade to a higher level of dining, but you can upgrade from half to full board (the cost should be approximately £17 per adult per night at plus level.)

I personally wouldn’t want to do this, as we always find that one big buffet breakfast, and one main meal, plus a little snack is plenty to keep us going all day. Some people obviously do like full board though, or they wouldn’t offer it, so it’s up to you if you think you’d prefer more meals.

With the dining levels, it’s unlikely you can upgrade to premium, but you can still eat in premium restaurants and just pay the difference. It does mean you won’t have a soft drink included, but when we do this, we just get a jug of water for free instead. Doing it this way would just give you a bit more choice anyway - you could eat in plus level restaurants most of the time, and just have one or two meals in premium level restaurants as a treat.
