That’s nothing, I remember Cliff singing to the Wimbledon crowds one rainy day in 96. It was AMAZING

I said MJ but also loved Madonna and went to see them both at Wembley, growing up it was The Bay City Rollers and The Osmond's. When my dd saw Rod Stewart singing she said the old man needs to go back to the retirement home!

I'm going with The Beatles. No other artist has ever been on the TV News the way they were. Night after night.

When you look at the length of their career in The Beatles, they win by a country mile.

If you look at the influence and legacy artists have left the beatles have influenced so many different styles in music
And MJ has left his mark on almost all the top pop artists of the last 30 years think Britney, Justin, usher, neo and so many more

Because of travel being easier and the world opening up to western culture (China, Russia in the 8os)I think Mj became the most famous person in the world

I said The Beatles, my teens were both taught about and had to analyse a song as part of high school music curriculum so think that shows their level of influence on everyone else.

When I read the title of this thread and looked at the poll my 1st thought was Queen as they are still touring now across the world and the recent film helped maintain or reignite their fame. I think they cross a wide age range now because of Adam and the film. Of the ones in the poll I’d say MJ but I was a teenager in the 80 so that will be influencing my vote. I asked my mam who’s 78 and she said the Beatles. 😊
