Congratulations to Leeds let’s hope you make the investment needed to stay in the PL. it’s so tough for teams coming up as this season has demonstrated it’s a massive risk to make the investment needed because of the fear of relegation and for the same reason hard to attract the players. Leeds do need to do something about their ground it’s akin to a 1980’s Rugby League ground, if they want to be a big club again this needs to be sorted.

We've finally had the green light on the ground after many years of talking about it. The plans look amazing.

Leeds are already a ‘big club’. 300,000 were out to see the bus last week- huge worldwide support and the last season they were in the Premier League they were one of the top 20 worldwide grossing clubs.

Elland Road has one of the best atmospheres of any stadium- according to Gareth Southgate. If the new build goes ahead it will hold more than Etihad. It does need a new stadium and big expansion as there’s currently no hope on the Season ticket waitlist.

The problem is the lack of ability to spend in the financial rules, they need relaxing for newly promoted teams.

I agree and surely infrastructure investment should be exempt from FFP. My sister used to work at Elland Road and I have been several times I agree with the atmosphere same as most old school stadiums which seems to escape when they “bowl” them. I do struggle though to agree with anything Southgate ever says. View from away end though is unacceptable and number of stewards and police ridiculous

Infrastructure investment is exempt from PSR or FFP.

But where it does limit spending is on the total amount of money a club has to, or chooses to, spend as Arsenal and Spurs fans know, where their new stadium costs impacted the money available to spend on the team.

But that's nothing to do with PSR.

For the Leeds fans, a new documentary film coming out, Paris 75. There’s a Facebook page on it if you search.
