I made a donation through their website and been sent a link for an A4 size posted to put in my window, instead of a ‘real’ poppy you’d get from a collector in the street.

I love this mural. Painted in 2018 in Hackney, London to commemorate the end of WW1.

There’s 3 sections to it. On the left is a British and German soldier sharing a cigarette during a ceasefire (Christmas Day truce). Centre is a British soldier who was killed in action. The woman on the right worked in an east London armaments factory - a dangerous occupation in itself.

The artist intended it to remain there for at least 2 months, so I assume it’s gone now.

I crocheted my own much less elaborate memorial. (I have also donated to the poppy fund.)

Col was an MT Driver in the RAF and I’m sure he would have liked to drive that lorry 💜

The Royal British Legion shop was fairly well stocked at the weekend and I managed to buy a poppy scarf, Emma Bridgewater shopping bag, a Royal Air Force poppy for me and a RAF Shawbury poppy for Col. £40 well spent 😁

I would recommend shopping early as stocks do run low 👍
