Can I jump on this and ask how many days people would plan at Universal if staying there? We had provisionally moved October 2020 to Universal. Probably looks like we won’t go til October 2021. Had planned Cabana Bay with a seven I guess now it will be eight year old. Not done Universal before and it’s obviously much smaller than Disney. Is 5 or 6 “active” park days (say two each for each of the parks plus one or two for Volcano Bay plus whatever rest/non park days we want about right? I’m guessing that would be at least 8 nights stay for us. But if we didn’t want to move on somewhere else can you base yourselves there for 12 or 14 nights without overdoing it?

We did a week at Universal last year and that was plenty of time to see the two parks and Volcano Bay. We stayed at Endless Summer resort and loved it. 7 days without express passes but with loads of time to mooch about the parks and take it all in. We were there in late August so queues were low and we had loads of rides on all our fav's. You could easily stay onsite for 14 days but I would probably suggest you stay elsewhere for the second week. This will save you a lot and give you the option of self catering in a villa or perhaps a hotel on the strip.
