We've been a few times. Apart from MVMCP in 2014 we haven't been to a park since 2010 and never spent a single night in a WDW hotel.

Driven a few miles over there though

Well I never knew about the parking nose in! I generally reverse parked, I thought it was just a cultural thing and didnt realise there was a reason

We don't drive over there but I did notice and found it odd that they didn't have license plates front and back.

As I mentioned earlier there's a few of us Dibbers who "collect" state plates and sometimes I need to take a photo to prove we spotted Hawaii in Berry Town Center.

For any would-be collectors you should note that apart from the 50 states the District of Columbia also issues their own and they often carry the name Washington - District of Columbia just to confuse them with Washington state.

I must sound like a real anorak by now I guess.

As a retired Quantity Surveyor it might be no surprise to know that I have an Excel spreadsheet. We started doing it in May 2006 about 25 holidays ago. Over the years we've seen them all but never all 51 in one trip. 49 is the most in one trip and Hawaii only twice.

Two 74 year olds are easily pleased.

GG

I believe that it was regular Dibber DonnaD who explained Hawaii. They are probably forces people who were based in Hawaii with their own cars and were reposted to the mainland and took their cars with them.

I bet you collect State quarters as well.

We have all the 50 states but some of the territories issue them as well. We have Guam and Porto Rica but missing the USVI. We called in St John on a cruise once and deliberately went into a shop to buy a Coke hoping to get a USVI quarter but failed.

Not at all, seems like a wonderful way to add variety to your holiday, you guys have probably done almost everything already.
And I am not one to talk as I'm a bird watcher... the feathered kind
