... for just one day? Is this feasible or do you think the beaches and coast are too far for a day trip?
If you have been from Orlando for the day, where did you go to and which coast do you reckon is the nicest? What d'ya think? . Wendy |

Cocoa Beach is the closest but Cocoa is not very insiring and the beach is dirty and the water cold.
Clearwater is an amazing place plenty to see and the beaches are spotless and the water warmer. Clearwater is about a hours journey away. Its easy to find. Clearwater would be fine for a day albeit a long and relaxing one. |

Wendy,
The East Coast is the Atlantic - cold, with big rollers The West Coast (Gulf Coast) - is warmer and generally more pleasant IMHO Cocoa beach was full of tiny shells and pebbles, but Daytona has a HUGE sandy beach. Clearwater, St. Petes etc can be done in about 1 1/2 hours or so.

Hi Wendy
We have driven to Clearwater for the day many times. The beach there is great, lovely white sand perfect for a nice relaxing day.
