Picked up: 18 Aug 2016
Picked up from: MCO
Hired with: Alamo
Category hired: Int SUV
Category taken: Standard SUV
Car: Chevy Equinox

Arrived at MCO and there was only 3 cars and a transit van in the Midsize row one of which looked pretty old. Went back to the desk and was going to offer the bloke 10 bucks to get the next size up but before I could finish he just said take whatever from the next size up... it was very busy think he was just rushed off his feet.

Lots of Hyundai and a couple of Dodge Journey which didn't look great cars, had a few scratches etc so went with the Chevy in the end. Was a nice car.

Just realised I forgot to take any of the inside apart from the touch screen and the rear view camera which was really handy. Car only had 3k miles when we collected it and was really roomy inside.

We paid for a rav 4 or equivalent and where directed to a row full of cars that where bigger than that class mostly Hyundai Santa Fe a few jeeps and a few dodge nor sure od the model names sorry there where a couple of Chevrolet traverse at the top of the row so we picked one of them it only had 9943 miles on the clock and has 7 seats and a reversing camera

Hire company used:- Alamo via Alamo brits
Date:- 17/08/2016

Used the skip the counter option which was fantastic and passed a huge queue at the Alamo desk.
Stroll across to the car park, paperwork shown and taken to the row of cars for my pick.

I had already took up the option of pre pay for the fuel and optionally Roadside insurance.

As a family of 4 this was a great MPV. Loads of room to spread about and with the rear seats put down tons of space for luggage and also during the holiday for the mobility scooter.
We did over 1100 miles and in total we spent $87 on fuel over the 17 days.

Pick Up - MCO with ALAMO
Ordered INT SUV
Picked STANDARD SUV
Model Chevrolet Equinox

The row of INT SUV's was mainly Jeeps, asked the Alamo rep if there was anything else and was shown the Standard's. Free upgrade offered no quibble and paid for what was ordered.

Car worked well for us 2 AD 2 CH (12 & 15), approximately 1200 miles in three weeks, total cost of fuel $101 which included $36 prepay with Alamo.

Category of car hired:- Luxury
Category of car Taken:- Luxury
Make & Model:- Lincoln MKS
Hire company used:- Alamo via Virgin Atlantic

The Lincoln was a nice car, plenty of gadgets and an outstanding air con system. No sat nav!
I swapped it out after 2 weeks for a Cadillac at the Disney CCC as the Lincoln had a slow puncture and high beam lights kept coming on and couldn't be turned off!

The Cadillac is what we normally have. Better car, all the normal gadgets. Big plus for me is the heated steering wheel to keep my hands warm as they get freezing from the air con vents
Found out that had a slow puncture as well but I didn't bother with it.

Now the Cadillac XTS - Much nicer.

Oh no another slow puncture!

Nice bit of wood - plastic!

Electric adjust for steering wheel

Heated steering wheel - sounds crazy but nice for warm hands!

Cool seat function. Brilliant idea for a cold bum!

From: MCO Alamo via Virgin
Booked: Standard SUV
Got: Standard SUV Jeep Grand Cherokee

Nice car, easy to drive, disappointed we couldn't get a 7 seater in the standard SUV row but apart from the Jeep there seemed very little apart from minivans.

Surprised a car of this size didn't have ANY parking sensors never mind a reversing camera.

Did about 22 mpg and we put around $110 of petrol in in 2 weeks. Wouldn't like to have to run it here

Booked through Virgin for an economy car, Kia Rio or similar, and ended up with an Hyundai Elantra. Picked up from DCC so no choice, just given a set of keys. Declined the offer of a Camaro with an alleged special 75% discount on the upgrade price (didn't ask how much). Nice comfy car and big enough for the two of us to get to Universal and to do a bit of shopping.

Was mean't to get a Nissan versa or similar, arrived at the garage and all that was left in our category was a fiat 500 or this Chrysler 200, hubby decided on this. It was a very spacious car, with air con & very comfortable. Huge boot space for luggage.
