Inside room deck 5 or 6 on magic
Can anyone recommend inside rooms they liked on deck 5 of 6
Also I have read some people like the sideways rooms, why is that?

You just have to have a look at the deck plans, find one you like the look of (sideways ones are a better layout) , then go to your booking, go to 'change stateroom' and type in your requested cabin. If its there, it'll let you change it.
Another reason for using a TA, they would do that for you. We're on deck 6 ... Makes no odds to me as long as I'm on the ship!

We were in 5131 - love the location really quiet and not alot of footfall past the room - great for the restuarants and for kids club, we are midship this time on deck 7.

I've just booked my 4th sideways room on deck 5 - we've done windows, verandas, but feel we've found 'home' in the sideways rooms of deck 5
The first time we tried them in the med was because we were looking for a cheaper option as it was supposedly an 'extra' holiday we hadn't planned & we thought we'd spend very little time in the room as it was so port intensive and we had planned lots of sightseeing. However... We actually found the different layout really spacious (based on perception only as they aren't actually any larger!) and we spent much more time in the room than we planned - enjoying room service and movies. We absolutely love Deck 5 on the Magic, as its where the kids clubs and cinema are, so no long dark corridors - to me it felt quite exclusive as there are so few rooms on that deck. When travelling on the magic/wonder I don't think I'd choose anything else now - I honestly prefer it to having a balcony - the price is nicer too! |

We ended up there by accident...we where upgraded on GTY in 2010. It was our first inside cabin, our previous cruises we had had verandas...but as this was a ( relatively) cheap holiday to hold us between Florida trips...we where happy enough.
Turned out to be fantastic...the whole holiday as it happened...but the inside cat 11 on what was dubbed the naughty corridor ( there where a lot of our linked dining mates along there too). .. That it has become our location of choice. I am fairly easily disorientated...and I can find my way back to my 'home' on deck five very easily. It's a brill location. As Bose poster said...no yawning great corridors of cabins to schlep past...it's quite homely. We always choose this deck if we have a choice...and vary between the inside cat 11's or the outside verandas/ navigators...as budget allows our next cruise...the EBTA , we are in 5638...the WBTA...5640. And if we manage to get it..the nine night Alaska ,we will plump for the same location on the wonder. |
