Veranda rooms

Hi all!
I have just found out that the veranda we have got is a metal one, this doesn't bother me, but I have read that these verandas can have up to 2 inches of water sitting on them when it rains, not happy about that.
Has anyone had this happened to them?
what's your experience with this type of veranda?
Thanks.

You wouldn't be able to have 2 inches of water as there are holes in the bottom of the veranda to let water out. They hose them down sometimes when getting ready for new passengers so it may be damp, but 2 inches of water ... never

Hi,
Thank you for your replies, I thought that it was a bit odd, but then I thought that maybe the metal verandas don't have the space between the floor and the wall like the glass ones do.

maybe its the navigators veranda ...it wholey ( haha) metal..but weve had a couple of them with no problem. There are gaps at the bottom for any water to get out when they clean them or it rains ( which has never actually happened to me on a cruise )
