Shopping late on way home from MCO

hey all, we are off to Florida on 12th September, arrival time at the airport is around 8.29pm so I reckon by the time we drive to Davenport to our villa it will be too late to shop at Publix for essentials, bread, milk etc...can you buy these items in gas stations?

Publix will probably be closed but Walmart will still be open. If you just want a quick stop though, Walgreens will be your best bet.

There are more supermarkets than those about.

Have a look at google maps, zoom in and see what you pass on route.

Theres a supermarket on the 192 near formosa called Market Place. It opens till 11pm I believe but if you miss this there is a Walgreens about half a mile further on as you head towards Highway 27. x Sarah

Walmart Supercentre in Haines City near Davenport on US27* is open 24 hours.

*36205 US Highway 27, next to US 17-92.

Whereabouts in Davenport are you?

Assuming somewhere close to US27 then if you are at the southern end as MarkUK says the Haines City store (Just in front of Southern Dunes) is 24 hours.

If you are at the north end of of US27 near 192 then the one at Cagan Crossings is also 24 hours

Our 2 local Publix are open until 10pm so probably just miss them Depending on where you are staying you will have Walmart or even a CVS or Walgreens to get enough for a first night water milk etc. If you are anything like us probably be up at stupid o.clock in the morning anyway, that's when we hit Walmart.

No such thing as a "quick shop" at Walmart

All the gas stations I've ever visited in Orlando had more than enough range of provisions for at least the first few holiday days! For a quick nip in and out, that's a good bet. Walgreens would be my other choice, if you're looking to not spend much time in there!

We arrive on Sunday evening. Do the supermarkets close earlier on Sundays?
