Disney Magical Express Question

Booked for May 2017 and planning to use DME to get to POFQ. I know that if I fly GLW/LGW/MCO I have to get my luggage to the DME myself but I also know that for bags originating in the US you can arrange for them to be picked up by Disney. If I fly via Philly instead of Gatwick would Disney count this as originating in the US?

You can get Disney to pick them up either way, you just put them back on the 'second bag drop' carousel after you've cleared customs. X disneyworld.disney.go/fa...gage-claiming/

I know US guests get Disney luggage tags, I'd be worried about my bags going missing. We fly indirect into MCO and just take the luggage with us onto the ME. I've heard it can take hours for your bags to turn up and we're usually asleep early in the first night.

I need airport assistance and will be on my own so just wanted to see if it would be worth flying indirect through Philly. Thanks for the response, knew I'd get an answer on here!
