Yatchsman or Flying Fish ..
Hi
We have one evening out of 24 nights where we can go child free to either if these 2 restaurants. We are on the dining plan.. I don't eat seafood but husband adores it. I can get a steak in either so I don't mind which we go to Which is the more special and why (the pictures if Flying Fish look more attractive..) Any help or opinions appreciated Thanks |

The Flying Fish by a mile. They aren't in the same league in my view.
The yachtsman is overpriced, overrated and is dominated by steak which isn't the same with the FF that is more varied. Mind you I think there are 3 other places better than the FF.

What are they Mr Tom please? Our boys are older now, so we too are looking forward to a dinner or two on our own.

Tom
We choose these 2 because our 6 year old want to try the sandcastle club at the Beach Club for one evening to play with the "Disney people". He loves a kids club but I still thought it wise to stay close by in case he wants to leave. Otherwise I would have tried the 3 others. I am assuming you mean Narcosses, California Grill etc over near Magic Kingdom. Cheers |

We all differ in our views.
I put the Cali top but for the whole experience, certainly not the food. Take that one out of the equation and this year we have found them to be as follows Jiko's Citricos Artist Point Narcoosses is excellent but I think those above just pip it. Mind you Jiko's and Citricos are always tops in our view and the only thing that disconcerts me with Artist Point is that it's always quiet and I worry is there an issue? However there never is and the food is devine . For some reason it doesn't appear on the radar for a lot of people. Strange.

We have booked Artist Point for next year, always available so yes, odd, but has great reviews from everyone and I am looking forward to it.

We loved Artist's Point. I think it is a hidden gem because people who are not staying there don't make a point of visiting WL.
Loved Jiko also, great decor as well as excellent food. Yachtsman was our top restaurant last time but that was 2014 so I can't say what it's like now. My ribeye was wonderful and I dream of the onion rolls! Flying Fish has been redone since we visited in 2010. It was excellent then, though. We also loved Brown Derby which we did for lunch, with the Fantasmic package. CG was nice but too rushed and noisy.

Think I will change yachtsman to FF as I need I stay close to resort that evening.
I have also booked all 3 of us into the CG at 7.30 on our last evening to watch the fireworks and have dinner. Will save the others special restaurants for next time ... Be a good reason to keep coming back 😀 |

We did both just two weeks ago! We have Yachtsman on our list for next time and not Flying Fish. We just preferred the Yachtsman as the steak was amazing, it was cold in FF cos of the aircon which makes a difference to us. It's not to say that FF wasn't nice but we preferred YSH.
Kat 😀
