Touring the resorts at Xmas

Hi all,

I am hoping to tour round the resorts to see the xmas decorations/ trees when I go in 9 days (wow how did it get to be so soon, I feel very unorganised! ). What are the must see resorts/ things to see? I am excited to see the gingerbread displays!

Thanks

Oh. Don't miss Fort Wilderness. We did a carriage ride ( Pre booked) around the RVs and the decorations were fantastic. We loved the tree there too.

Can you go to all these places even if not staying onsite?

As ILHO says you can visit all the WDW resorts even if you aren't a resident. Nor do you need park tickets or have a dining reservation.

Every holiday we use a combination of WDW buses, boats and monorail to visit a number of resorts.

However because parking at the resorts is under extremel pressure I would suggest parking up at DS and using either a bus or boat to start your tour.

It world be worth checking what times the transport starts running from DS. We went a couple of weeks ago and to get the the GF the bus only started at 11.am

Another vote for Fort Wilderness... as soon as it's dark Christmas day we head there. Park at the top parking lot, catch the bus down to the Settlement and take a wander. You must remember these decorations in the RV campsites are provided by the guests staying, some must spend a fortune, they are truly amazing. Some guests use the same site each year and are very keen to talk to you about how long they took to set them up. Really a magical atmosphere.
